Each Brightshelf Project brings together a sponsor — a company, organization, or individual with
resources to give — and a qualified classroom community ready to put those resources to work.
The Foundation manages the match and oversees the project from start to finish.
Sponsors can contribute cash, new art and science products, or both. The classrooms and
programs on the receiving side are vetted — we work with public schools, qualifying nonprofit
organizations, and teachers that have applied and been accepted on our Hummingbird Platform.
The Foundation serves as project manager for both sides. We scope the project, coordinate the
parties, and document the impact.
If you have cash, products, or both to contribute and want to be matched with a Brightshelf Project,

Tell us about your program and what you need. We will be in touch.
The Insider Newsletter takes you behind the scenes of the Jonny Bass Foundation. We run a lean, modern operation — built on state-of-the-art systems, automation, and AI — and Insiders get to see how it all works.
Every month we publish a full edition with stories and updates from inside the Foundation. Between editions, we send two to three shorter updates throughout the month.

A Named Patron gift is a significant financial contribution directed toward a Foundation initiative
or asset that you select.
Every Named Patron gift permanently names the initiative or asset of your choosing. The name
is yours to decide — a family member, a colleague, a memorial, a company, or anything else
meaningful to you.
Funds are directed toward the purpose agreed on with the Foundation, within the bounds of our
charitable mission. The scope, terms, and naming are defined collaboratively.
Named Patron arrangements are made directly with the Foundation. There is no minimum
published amount — every arrangement is unique.
